As cyclists Nick and I have traveled all over the United States….some places truly felt like home and we can not wait to go back! The common theme was that our gravel family was supportive throughout and we are blessed.

Take Me Home Gravel adventure is our way of welcoming you to our home. Just like family (maybe better), we will greet you with open arms. We understand that the cheapest part of most events is the entry fee. For that reason, we would like to welcome you home with lodging and food included. YES, the cost of your entry is the cost of the weekend! All food served will be produced within sixty miles of our home.

And being home can’t be discussed without talking about the race location. Wisconsin Badger Camp is located on the back side of my familys farm. When I was a child, and well through adulthood, I spent my summers with horses at camp. Wisconsin Badger Camp serves mentally and physically disabled individuals….no one is turned away for severity or lack of payment. Camp truly is part of me…..as a cyclist I would love to see campers have the opportunity to do what we all take for granted.

That is where you all come in! All money raised on this weekend through entries and the raffle will be donated back to camp….every last cent! It is our hope that Camp can have a cycling program where everyone that wants to can experience the freedom we take for granted on two wheels. As a gravel community I have zero doubt that we can make this happen and will! When the cycling program is developed all money will be used for camperships to help those that can not afford to come to camp.

There will be no timing chips or timer. This weekend is about community and giving. We are welcoming you into our home area to ride our roads and enjoy our friendships. The only thing you will receive at the end is a patch and a high five, BUT, the feeling of giving to others is going to stay with you all year long-I PROMISE!

What People Say

Giving is not just about the donation….it’s about making a difference!

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Dr. Seuss

Let’s build something together.
